Why?
There are many reasons to join a church. The first and most Biblical reason is that as followers of Christ we are to be holding one another accountable (Ephesians 4:11-16). When people choose to not become official members of a body they are distancing themselves from authority. There are many benefits to membership as well, but the most important issue we need to deal with is whether we are willing to be obedient to the Word of God as it pertains to this issue.
